SAM 14 - High Flow, High Vacuum
Product code:
SAM14/01010101
The SAM 14 aspirator is a top quality surgical suction unit designed to be highly adaptable. The SAM 14 is a high flow, high vacuum unit ideal for use in general wards, accident and emergency, minor operating theatres and intensive care. Its reputation for reliability and ease of operation has established it among the most widely used units in the medical world today.
The SAM 14 has the choice of being produced as a Static or Mobile unit. A Static unit is designed to grip to the surface with its rubber feet and stay in one location whereas, a Mobile unit is produced with wheels and an extended handle bar, making it extremely easy to transfer the Suction Unit from one location to another, especially in an emergency.
As standard, the SAM 14 incorporates two autoclaveable SAM 2 collection vessels fitted with float valve systems, providing automatic shut-off to avoid over-flow. The easy-to-use change-over valve allows the operator to switch to the second jar, when the first is full, providing smooth and uninterrupted suction.
The SAM 14 is also available with a choice of disposable collection systems including our own SAM 2 Collection Jar along with Serres, Abbott and VacSax. Other disposable collection systems can be fitted to the SAM 14 on request.
The unit incorporates a MQ25 oil-free diaphragm vacuum pump that requires minimal maintenance and helps prevent cross-contamination. The MQ25 also benefits from an enclosed crankcase for quiet operation, IP44 totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) permanent capacity motor with long life sealed bearings and thermal protection.
The SAM 14 has multiple safety features including overflow control valves and an internal hydrophobic filter to minimise the risk of contamination.
The unit is fitted with two bacterial filters externally but, will be provided with a hydrophobic filter if required.
MGE are happy to work with Medical Institutions with specialist requirements for suction equipment. These requirements can be as simple as producing tailor made stands for equipment, right up to the development of specific medical units. Please contact us if you would like to discuss your requirements and see how we can assist in providing you with a solution.
PLEASE NOTE:
Whilst we endeavour to hold as much stock as possible, as these units are specially made to order, there may be occasions where the lead time may be longer than 2 days (particularly if you are ordering more than 5 units at once). If this is the case, we will ensure to contact you as soon as possible to inform you of the exact lead time so you know when to expect your delivery. Thank you for your understanding.
